Steve was kind enough to let me be the guinee pig for his new series of LED dome lights. He sent me one dome light and one map light to test out.

If you buy a kit it comes with one 12 LED panel for the dome light and two 9 LED panels for the map lights.

They are available for the main dome light as well as the map lights in the RSX and practically any other car.

Now forgive my dark pics, I'm no professional and I did the best I could without a tripod.

*All night pics are taken at 1 second exposure time as to get an even comparison between stock and the LED's*

This picture says it all, these are very standard. This is the bulb I had in my center dome light as well as the two map lights.

Here is a package of the 12 LED dome light and then the 9 LED map light. I like how they do this, they send you multiple size adapters with each LED panel, that way you can choose the one that fits your car. Although I was sent one map light and one dome light, I tried the map light out in the hatch's little wedge bulb area, and it worked great. I'm getting another map light and I will probably order a hatch area light too

You get sticky foam tape for mounting if you'd like but I just laid them in there and snapped the lens back on since I had to put them in and out for testing and they stay just fine. Since they are LED's they aren't going to get hot so you don't have to worry about melting anything.

Here is the right side map light with a regular wal-mart replacement stock dome light bulb.
It produces decent light and I always thought that these were brighter than the dome light, but it turns out they use the same bulb, the map light just angles it better towards you.

Now here is the left side LED panel and as you can see it's a whiter light and is so bright it actually lights up more of the right side than the right side bulb did.

I know this is off kilter a bit but I had no tripod and I was holding it on the back seat while I tried to get out of the shot.

This shot of one next to each other doesn't really show the difference except for the color, it's hard taking pics of light in the dark.

Now the dome light, I could barely get anything to show up with my regular bulb so I didn't bother, I feel the map light pics show the comparison good enough to show the difference. SO here is the 12 LED panel pointed upward so you can kind of see the way the LED bulb fits.

Then I have two shots of the dome light on just to show the reach the light makes.

I can't explain how much my pictures do not do these panels justice, they are so bright and the perfect whitesih blue.

Here was my experiment of using the wedge adapter with the 9 panel one for the hatch area, you can see the big difference it makes. It's a tight fit but the 9 panel does fit right in there and it's so bright, I'm actually going to order a single 9 panel just for that spot.

Before, a regular wedge bulb

9 LED Panel Installed:

If you want a brighter dome light and map light, there is nothing that will top this. I've had LED wedge bulbs before and they are no where near as bright as these. I'll put my name behind these, if you buy these you'll like them. Steve was kind enough to give me a set but I'm going to get another one for the hatch area, becasue it's just too bright not too.
